Critters
Well, we had our first critter inside the RV! We came home from having ice cream with Daniel, Madison and Sterling Saturday night. It was after dark so we had the outside lights on and Gary had turned on the aisle lights on the inside.
Aisle lights are located throughout the RV near the floor. Like night lights but I like to sleep in the dark so we only use them when we go away in the evening.
I opened the door and went up the two outside steps and was about to traverse the three inside steps when I saw a little southern frog on the second step. He was adorable, only about an inch long. But I scooped him up immediately and said, “Oh no you don’t. You are not allowed to take up residence in here!” Out he went.
That day we had tucked away our picnic table, benches and outdoor carpet. It was ridiculously windy outside and we didn’t want flying projectiles. This left a bigger yard space….for more critters.
We had seen the holes before in the yard on an occasional morning but didn’t know what they were from. A gentleman in the campground informed us this week that the holes are made by hogs in the nighttime looking for grubs.
Now, do I know how true this is? I do not. Have I laid eyes on an actual hog in our campground? I have not. However, according to google, there is a very real possibility that is what is taking place in my yard overnight.
Maybe a hole dug by a pig looking for grubs???
Or maybe it’s a teeny leprechaun with a wee shovel. 😊
