We DID it!
Well, we did it! After 16 months of praying, planning and purging…we sold the house, gave away almost everything we owned and bought an RV.
We have been in the RV for a full month. The learning curve is real! It has gotten super cold here in the Deep South this January and she does not hold heat well. We also have some mystery water issues.
Gary has called for one service tech so far and he has made multiple repairs himself.
But on a day to day basis, we cook, we eat, we shower, we sleep….all like normal people!
The space is small, I will enjoy when I can be outside again. ( I am presently writing this from outside but the temp is 50 and I’m about to go inside 😊)
We had our first guests on New Years Day. We have been telling the local grandkids for a year that Mammy and PopPop are getting a house on wheels. On New Year’s they got to see it for themselves. Vincent, the two year old, promptly called it a firetruck! Catherine wanted to know where “her bed” is located. And Everett couldn’t wait to break in the plumbing.
No regrets.
