We have been in Woodbine, Georgia for 10 weeks. In that time we have experienced pretty much three seasons (winter, spring and summer); a time change, lots of adventures with the Georgia Hagmayers and some great adventures on our own.
I quizzed Gary and got him to rank some of the things we did. Below are our assessments of our experiences. Don’t laugh too hard at our absolutely positively opposing rankings! All rankings are number one is the favorite.
BIKE RIDE DAYS
Gary
1. Jekyll island. Safety. Beach.
2. Amelia island State park. 2nd because of DeNuccis...if you missed that post, you need to see just how far this man will ride a bike for his favorite ice cream place!
3. St. Simons – Intersection crossing was treacherous!
4. Fort Clinch...it was an uneventful day 🤦🏼♀️
5. We all know Gary's least favorite Adventure....Cumberland Island 🤣
Desiree
1. Cumberland Island – this to be was just paradise. A foretaste of the beauty of heaven.
2. Fort Clinch - More adventures with quiet beaches, lovely canopies and nature.
3. Jekyll Island – This island is set up really well for bike riders to get around safely. Everyone could take notes from Jekyll if they want to get it right!
4. Amelia Island State Park – I really did enjoy this day. It was our longest ride. But we did spend some time sharing the road.
5. St. Simons – too many humans! 😉

Hucks RV Park review:
Very large site. ♥
A little pricey for the lack of amenities. Laundry and bathroom were usually clean. There are four swings for children and a fenced in area for dogs. Extremely dusty road next to the campground.
Main area has macadam sites and macadam road. There is a new additional area that is not paved. They offer storage if you need this service.
Quiet in the campground. Lots of noise from the neighboring Circle K truck stop.
All in all, we stayed here for 10 weeks. I met some great people. I loved my walking route - a perfect ¼ of a mile around the campground. I had a lovely yard, very spacious. We have already contacted the owner about returning in December. ♥
