BE READY conclusion
David was anointed as King when he was a boy and it was only after slaying a giant, enduring Saul’s moodiness and consequent pursuit, and acquiring more than a few wives and sons, that he was actually put on the throne of Israel. He was 30 when he began his reign as Israel’s king. Check out I and II Samuel, it’s some good stuff.
Joseph is another one. He was dreaming dreams as a teenager and then got tossed in a pit, sold to traders, excelled in Potiphar’s house until he was wrongly accused, jailed for a crime he did not commit, forgotten as the dream interpreter by not one but two people who promised to remember him to the Pharoah. AND THEN was given his shot at freedom. It was still more years until his brothers came to Egypt to buy grain and bowed to him that his dream played out before him.

I know the waiting is hard. I know feeling like your prayers are hitting a ceiling, that you have been abandoned or forgotten and hearing the repeated ‘wait’ is exhausting. I know some days you want to just quit. But hold on. “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
I don’t know what He promised you. I know what He promised me. I hold on to the Promise Keeper. God is faithful.
Numbers 23:10
Psalm 27:13-14
There are 66 books of the Bible just bursting with His faithfulness. Be still and know.
